Amjad Akash

Amjad Akash is a freelance visual artist, born at Comilla in Bangladesh at 31 December 1979. His Passport name is Mohammad Amjad Hossain. He has received his Masters of Fine Art (MFA) from The Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

His first solo Art exhibition was held in 2012 at Zainul Art Gallery; Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. Second Solo Exhibition held in Gallery Kura, Fukuoka, Japan in 2016.

In 2015 he has participated “X Florence Biennale” at Florence, Italy. Amjad Akash has also participated in more than 100 national and international art exhibitions & nearly 20 art workshops conducted by Bangladeshi Master Artist & Renowned International Artist. He is engaged with creative writing & freelance journalism from last 15 years. At present he is devotedly engaged with an online art magazine called CHITRAM (www.chitram24.com). He is the editor of this online art magazine.

His work explores the contemporary image of vibrant world of human psychology. Most of his works get influenced by his engagement with subjects as civil human rights. He also get influenced by his surroundings; social crisis and its reflection on the society.
